MALTA a paradise for underwater enthusiasts - The clear waters of the Mediterranean surrounding our islands make it much more pleasant for the divers and snorkellers. The attractions for the diver are based on their topographic structure, healthy water and the rich fauna. The biggest being however, that the Maltese waters are an all the year round attraction.

Even in stormy weather, sheltered coasts still offer a number of interesting diving sites. Malta is one of the few countries that insist, that recreational divers need to have an exam by a doctor trained in diving medicine before taking any diving courses. This is so to maximise in-water safety. Therefore, those wishing to dive in Maltese waters must have a current medical certificate of fitness to dive issued by a doctor. The minimum age for diving in Malta is 14 years. Those divers under 18 years require written approval from parent or legal guardian. More detailed information can be made available on request. Diving Centres locally are very well equipped with full audio visual training aids and all provide the security of fully licensed instructors. Take the full benefit of our vast surrounding world and test the wonders of the seas - a truly unforgettable experience!!
